If you're paying for luxury press on nails they should be lasting you longer than the cheap false nail sets you've tried in the past, so here are 5 ways to get your custom press on nail sets to give you up to two weeks wear time!

1. prep your natural nails

while it's more convenient to apply your press ons straight out of the packaging, following the prep instructions that come with your press on sets can help your false nails to last longer!

2. protect your nails when using chemicals

cleaning, doing the dishes, dying your hair etc all expose your nails to harsh chemicals or start to break down nail glue. try wearing gloves when doing these to prolong wear time!

3. apply your nails before bed

believe it or not there is a 'best' time to apply your press ons and that's right before bed! this is because it limits your exposure to water and other products that start to break down nail glue before it has had the chance to fully set!

4. try another glue method

I'm mainly talking to my sticky tab lovers here :( while they can be great for temporary wear, consider trying a liquid glue if you're looking for longer lasting sets. a gap filling, semi solid glue can also be a more durable adhesive if you're used to liquid glue!

5. stop using your nails as tools

I know you're sick of hearing this but it really does make the biggest difference! using your nails to pick at sellotape, dig into parcels or open a can of diet coke will put unnecessary pressure on your nails than can completely break down the nail glue. ask a friend or use another tool instead, save your manicure!
